Columnist: Stacey Chammaa

An 11+ year journalism career in broadcast, radio, print, production and public relations have kept Chammaa busy.

Born in Scotland in 1988 she had a unique upbringing in the Middle East. Set on being a journalist from a young age, Chammaa began her journalism career after enrolling in a Journalism and Communication course at the University of Queensland, aged 19.

Her first radio job was in 2008 co-hosting a radio show called 'Banter'. Her first TV experience was the following year interning at Channel 7 and Channel 9. During this time in Australia, she also kept herself busy writing for a local magazine and interning at the Courier Mail Newspaper.

In 2011, Chammaa applied for a job as a reporter in the Middle East at 'Oman Tribune'. This proved to be a great platform for other opportunities including radio host of 'Talk of the Town', nightly news reading on 90.4FM and eventually anchoring Oman TV evening news which she still does today.

At the same time, Chammaa also spent 5 years working in Red Bull between 2012-2017 as Communication and Digital Manager for the Red Bull Media House, as well as being lead producer on all Oman event productions.
