The true definition of leadership has been a subject of controversy since the appearance of the industrial revolution. Robert House (1973) defined leadership as the capability to persuade people to do what a person want them to do as if they are doing it to themselves. A leader is a person who could make others do what he or she wants them to do and like it. It is proposed that leadership is the art of making others unite for shared goals. There are five examples of behaviors, which support leadership’s attempts such as sampling behaviors, inspiring others to shared vision, challenging the present organizational procedures, qualifying others to act and promoting positive emotional support.
Powerful school leadership is highly essential to the entire modification process. School reform often needs developed leadership that boost the implementation of educational field where teachers and students can behave at their best levels. Overall, it is notable that the main distinction between leadership and educational leadership is that leadership concentrates on monitoring behaviors, while education leadership focuses more on building an environment that is effective of positive change.
On the other hand, many challenges face educational leadership through micro level (problems at the school level) and macro level (problems at the policy and/or governmental level). The researchers of changing management seek how to support everyone. Despite the fact that these organizations plan and change mission and vision notions to adopt the new organizational instructions, it is not an easy mission, and that for having no controllable limits in the school leadership over primary educational environmental factors.
Additionally, many researchers have characterized globalization in a different way. Globalization may indicate to the transmit, modification and improvement of knowledge, technology, and values across the countries. It is a powerful force that supports people worldwide to succeed economically. However, it became a main responsible for simplifying and formulating ideas about education and leadership in the world. Therefore, it has pulled off the edict of educational leadership scholars through precise information, feedback and analysis of global practices examples and has raised students’ performance and results.
