• Conduct study on Engineering Service Request (ESR) related to the Process Engineering and Operation of Ras Laffan gas treatment and water treatment facilities. Perform the study comprehensively with conclusion and recommendations. • ESR Study and other process engineering activities would require performing some of the works as below: o Review real time database (RTDB), operating logs, process control computer printouts, daily/weekly/special reports. Carry out or participate in the analysis of respective causes of problems and recommends changes or alterations to operating parameters in order to avoid recurrence of problems or improvement in safety, integrity, operability, availability and reliability of the system. o Carry out special laboratory testing programs with identification of appropriate quality parameters as necessary to anticipate, evaluate and resolve process problems. Review, analyze and infer the laboratory results enabling to do troubleshooting and failure analysis. o Provide process and technical support to Operations team, advise on optimization of process operations. o Qualification and tendering of Catalysts, Molecular sieves, Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitor (KHI) and other process and water treatment chemicals. o Participate on internal studies such as Energy Efficiency, Flaring Reduction, Chemical and Cost Optimization etc. o Review existing process control schemes, C&E Chart and suggest improvements commensurate with latest developments. Interact with Company’s I&C and Automation engineers. o Recommend means of increasing productivity, safety, integrity, reducing costs etc whenever possible to provide maximum benefit to Company. o Participate in cost estimate for the modifications or new projects. o Review technical specifications and proposals from suppliers.
• Prepare Facilities Modification Proposals (FMP), liaise as Process-In-Charge for Operational Management Review, HSE Management Review, Process Hazards Analysis. Prepare Comment Resolution Sheet (CRS), incorporate the comments in FMP documents and liaise till management approval. • Conduct feasibility studies and develop the Statement of Requirements (SOR). This includes setting parameters and running plant simulations of existing facilities or proposed new facilities, developing the basic process scheme, preparing red-lined mark-ups of PFDs, PIDs, C&Es, logic diagrams, datasheets and other process deliverables for all plant modifications. • Provide process engineering support to in-house Basic and Detail Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning of plant modifications projects. • Prepare and review Scope of Work (SOW) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) for Feasibility and Conceptual Studies, Basic Engineering (FEED), Detail Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Start-up through the single source or competitive tendering.
• Coordinate and interface with Engineering Contractor(s). Ensure compliance with International Standards, Company Standards and alignment with Company’s QHSE and Corporate policies and strategies. • Review datasheets, material requisitions, equipment selection, and technical bids and make a recommendation for approval. • Participate in workshops on Design and PID reviews, PHA studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments.
